The Vents Airlite Series Commercial ERVs (Energy Recovery Ventilators)
Bring in more fresh air, without paying the full heating/cooling penalty. The Airlite Series Commercial ERVs are high-capacity energy recovery ventilators built for demanding applications, offered in five sizes with airflow up to 1785 CFM (ERV 25). Each unit is engineered to improve indoor air quality while recovering energy from exhaust air through a high-performance enthalpy heat exchanger.
Built for real-world commercial airflow demands:
Vents Airlite units are configurable to match your project requirements, including one, two, or three fans on both the supply and exhaust sides. The system uses centrifugal fans with backward-curved blades for efficient, stable performance across commercial duct systems.
When outdoor temperatures drop, a fan-stop defrost system activates below 23°F (-5°C) to help protect the heat exchanger from freezing conditions.
Safer operation, dependable performance
Airlite ERVs include built-in thermal overheating protection with automatic restart functionality for dependable operation. Motors and impellers are meticulously engineered and dynamically balanced to support smooth, reliable long-term performance in commercial settings.
Outdoor installation ready
For outdoor installations, we strongly recommend the optional roof cover to provide added protection against weather exposure and extend service life.

Why choose a Commercial ERV instead of “exhaust-only”?
- Better IAQ: continuous fresh air intake + controlled exhaust
- Lower operating cost: recovers energy from exhaust air via enthalpy core
- More comfort: reduces temperature swings and helps manage humidity load
- More control: integrated automation + external control compatibility
- Options & add-ons
- Optional roof cover (recommended for outdoor installs)
- External controls (supported via control device connections)

FAQ's
What type of core does do Airlite ERVs use, and what does it recover?
Airlite uses an enthalpy heat exchanger to transfer sensible + latent energy between airstreams. That means it recovers both temperature and moisture, helping reduce the heating/cooling load while maintaining ventilation rates.
What’s the maximum airflow, and how should I size it?
Maximum capacity is up to 1,785 CFM (ERV 25) depending on model and configuration. Size to your required ventilation rate (ASHRAE 62.1/62.2 targets, occupancy, and building use), then verify available external static pressure and duct design to ensure you’ll hit the needed delivered CFM.
What defrost strategy is used for cold-weather operation?
Yes-Vents Airlite Commercial units includes frost protection via fan-stop defrost. When outdoor air temp drops below 23°F (-5°C), the control logic cycles the supply fan off to prevent core freeze while continuing exhaust (sequence depends on the unit’s control settings).
What filtration ships with the unit, and where is it installed?
Standard filtration is MERV 6 on both supply and exhaust streams. Filters are installed upstream of the core to protect the heat exchanger and fans. Keep a service interval based on site conditions (construction dust, high-occupancy spaces, etc.).
Can the unit be installed outdoors, and what should I do to protect it?
Yes-outdoor installation is supported. For longevity and weather protection, use the optional roof cover, verify proper drainage/condensate management, and follow best practices: secure mounting, sealed penetrations, and code-compliant electrical disconnect/access.
